I remember Dave's 39 at the 2006 Loudonville Rally. Some people might not realize it was a '39 since the side windows were changed to the later slider windows. Originally it had the rectangular windows. It also had the "sail" or radiator scoop added later. The 38-39 and maybe some early '40 models had no "sail". This proved to be a problem at higher speeds since the airflow "boundary" layer just an inch or so above the air inlet became a negative pressure zone. Adding the scoop or "sail" that stuck up several inches then created a positive pressure zone to force air down the radiator tunnel at speed. Kenneth
