3.0L did not come in the 2nd gen's Those our the 2.5L DOHC. See here for probe history, http://floridaprobeownersclub.info

No the 3.0 came in the 2nd gen probe gt's, which is what the motor and trans came out of. Anyways it's available to anyone interested From:

Just to inform you the 3.0L only came in 90-92 Lx models, Gt's are 2.2L Turbo only 89-92.
