Subject: [FF] Magna non-progress report, OOTO

An update: Fork is made and installed, wheel is installed, brakes ready

to bolt on. Steering via direct push-pull rods into the cabin is

attached, but find that these rods can easily bind in their guide slots

- something that did not happen when their ft attachment was a universal

joint, not a Heim joint. Still need to complete the upper shock mt so I

can roll the machine and feel what 15° of rake and 3.5" of trail feels

like. Even in failure at this point my experience can be valuable: the

Monoball ball joints do NOT offer adequate angular change, 20° total;

the installation bolt contacts the housing. Might be able to make it

work in ONE precise setup, but not good for experimenting.

And to let the group know I'll be gone for a month, road trip to

Indiana. Talk atcha when I get back in mid-August, hope to have the

answer to this Hossack problem by then. (OOTO = Out Of The Office)

Definitely need to get one more round of testing in this year,

hopefully more.
