For everybody that has owned or admired an F-Body Mopar, this club has you in mind. This club helps out other owners, learn about how to fix and upgrade their F-Body Mopars and to learn more about the F-Body. These rare cars have great potential, and it would be a shame to see this venerable replacement for the A-Body vanish from the roads.
These cars are well know for being nimble and agile in handling thanks to their L-torsion bar front suspension. Law Enforcement even found that in certain urban communities that their persuit and handling made shorter work of pursuits over the Furys and Monoco's which constantly needed steering corrections for rearend slide. A problem F-Body interceptors didn't suffer from.
These all represent the F-Body one of the last great rear wheel drive muscle cars from Mopar. These cars put out awesome statistics with 0-60 MPH & times as well as Quarter Mile E.T.'s & trap speeds that even when these 2bbl versions were matched to the 4bbl competition F-Body cars trounced them thouroughly, to say the least. The Beatings the competition took only worsened when the playing field leveled by 4bbl to 4bbl car heads up comparisions.
Our Beloved F-bodys were faster than Trans-Ams made famous by the "Smokey & the Bandit Movies" in scraps with local law enforcement.
That said F-Body's originally got a bad wrap for the mostly minor recalls of the early 1976-78 models... However by 1979 nearly all of the problems had been fixed, but not in time to redeem these great cars in the public's mind from down falls of earlier ones.
Now rarities the unique/rare versions are gaining attention/value. Enjoy the F-Body refreshing, and unique yet MOPAR! Yeah!
