Hello,
I'm new to my group. I have a couple of questions regarding my 2001
Supercrew Lariat. Does anyone else have a brke pedal that wiggles
back
and forth? It seems to work fine, but I can wiggle it back and forth
with my foot while not applying the brake. Is this a side effect of
the power pedals? The other question is about a vibration it has
developed lately at highway speeds. I bought new tires, drove it for
about 2000 miles with no problem. Then a couple of things happened at
about the same time, so I'm trying to figure out if any of them can
be
affecting this. 1. The service engine light came on at about 31,000
miles while my wife had the truck. It went off after a couple of
days,
so I didn't think much of it since I was about to have the 30,000
mile
service done. 2. I then had the 30,000 mile service done (by
Econolube, and I won't use them again for various reasons, and I
also hate the dealer here. They have put 5 sets of brakes on my
wife's Mustang in about 18,000 miles.), which included oil, filter,
power steering, differential, etc. changes. Now I have the vibration.
I got the tires at Discount. They have balanced the first set 3
times,
changed to another set, changed to another tire, and now I have
Michelins on it. It seems to have helped, and maybe even taken care
of
the problem, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had a
similar
problem. It also seems to run a little rough at idle with it in
drive.
Anyone got any ideas. Thanks, Steve
