well right now i have a ranger but i want to get
a full size reg box with 4X4 and either a V8 or
the strraight the years i am looking at are
1978-1996. if i would get the 300 six i would want a
stick but with a 302 or 351 either a stick or auto
would do but. how reliable is the 300 six i
know it
is but i was woundering what are the common problems
and how reliable is the 302 V8
and the 351V8 and
what are the common problems with them. I want to
build this truck up
with
a lift and 33" or 35"
tires so what motor would be the best for me. and how
is gas milage with
these motors. i know the 302
has some problems but are they really that bad and
how much
torque and HP does it have? I really
like the straight 6 but you can't get the V8 sound out
of
it
and it only has about 16ohp but alot of
torque so it could turn the bigger tires and i know
the
351 would have the most power but i know it is a
gas hog and is ruff on the gas.i am really
looking at the 300 six and the 302 but i would not over
look the 351.

and i might do some towing like
snowmobiles and 4wheelers so i think either of these
motors
would be good. and what is the most common stock
gearing for these motors?
