Re: [enduroafrica2008] Hello Guys how is it going

Hi Mark (and others)

Good to hear from you matey.

Unfortunately and regretfully I have pulled out. I lost my rag with Enduro over the constant lack of communication, none of messages ever got returned, I wasn't getting any of the emails and no-one had been in touch for 6 months. They've sent me the deposit back which is going to RFL anyway as is the other money raised so far.

Really still want to do it, but so peed for for Enduro getting me to the point where I said stuff it. Considering going back to them, but dare say they'll probably not want me to do it now as I kicked up a stink.

Fellow Enduros

I have just resurfaced after a nightmare summer (workwise) and trying to get my
preparatiosn and fundraising back on track. The "packs" arrived one year after they were
promised so I have now registered and guess you all have too. Its now "real" and I am getting
excited already especially aftre having watched the dvd by Cass Productions!

The new charities have been announced - I feel pretty good about those - they are all worthy
causes and it should be relatively easy to convicne people to support them. I am going to
stcik to my promise to raise money for Riders for Health as I want the link to the bike being
being handed over retained.

I see from the conditins that we have to pay for petrol when we are in South Africa. Anyone
worked out how much that might be? Also the insurance we take out has to cover riding a
motorbike. I assume that is not bike per se but covering the activity of riding a bike (like
skiing when on a skiing holiday?).

Anyway, hope you are all well.

Mark
