that message even makes it through on boards with moderated membership.

They have gotten more clever about posting a message to the moderator that sounds like a real member, but isn't.

Thanks for posting your updates, we have had to take a year off from converting, we're starting again with the thaw this year.

You guys are doing a great job.

Time to get some discussions going on this board.

G'morning All,
Messages have been kind-of scarce on this board for a while. Art and
I are working on our bus every spare minute we have. Seems like
everything we do now makes a difference, and things are finally
starting to come together! This is so exciting!

I wanted to say a quick word about the garble-goo non bus message that
got through last week, in case anyone else is wondering. We didn't
feel it necessary to prescreen every member of this board and to see
if people qualify to be members. So, unfortunately, someone joined
and posted that message. We deleted the message from the board, and
banned the person who posted it... but we couldn't retract the message
from the mailboxes of those who have their options set to receive
emails. We're sorry that message made it through, and have set the
group options where people have to request to join, at least for now.
You have to admit though, we have a very low rate of non bus related
messages on this board.... just don't pay any attention to the fact
that we have a very low rate of any messages on this board! LOL.

So, what is everyone else doing these days? Are you converting, or
traveling, or doing anything with your buses? Keep us posted!

If anyone is interested in our progress, you can find recent pictures

Terry-

Welcome aboard--we gave ourselves an '88 Model 15 for our anniversary 2
1/2 years ago--we still have probably 2 years left! My wife and I have
done all the work ourselves so far, including the roof raise. As far as
slide-outs. . .well beyond my expertise.  Good luck with the project;
our work time has been limited to weekends, so I'm thinking another year
and we should have something we can actually use and take somewhere.

Take a look at the website and see if it gives you any ideas:

Hi Art and Cindy,

Thanks for the response. The part I am talking about is the flow
manifold valve bolted to the fan motor. Eagle and Sauer-Danfoss call
it a switch valve. I am looking for a new bypass valve spring and nut
and also the correct seal between the valve and the fan motor.
Sauer-Danfoss claims the part is not serviceable and will give no
information on its manufacturer or part number. If I had those two
pieces of info I could probably find a spec sheet somewhere and
fabricate the parts I need. If you have any of this info, I would
greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

Joe-

I'm getting ready to do a little work on our hydraulic system ('88 Model
15) and I've got the hydraulic fan for both A/C and radiator. I'm
guessing the switch you're talking about is the fan control that opens
when the engine temp reaches the thermostat mark (185 degrees or so).
The switch on mine is bypassed, so the fan is running full speed at all
times--not really a problem unless small children or animals walk past
the grille when the engine is on high-idle.

I'll defer to more knowledgeable in this arena, but looking at the
system on first blush, it looks like it was put together by either Eaton
or Vickers (they might even be the same company now). It might be
easier to bypass the whole thing--I think my switch is disconnected
(completely) to get the fan to run at full speed.

Good luck,

Thanks Gary and Rob for your input. I'm trying to put together what
I'm going to do on the inside, and still trying to figure out what
works. I'm glad to hear that with some care tile can be an option.

Be sure to use a grout which has a certain amount of
flexability in it. I forget which one I used, I will
look and see if I still have some of it. A friend used
polyurethene chaulking for grout on his GMC conversion
worked fairly well.

The hydralic fluid storage tank was the same size on all Eagle Buses

tank. My question is, how much fluid (# of quarts) does the hydralic
system need to operate and keep cool? Joe if you are here, I'm waiting!

Hi everybody,
The word is in. The message with the Subject "New Graphic Site" is an

the yahoo service, which might be it's intended affect.

It uses javascript to activate and send itself to other yahoo users

We have received 5 on this board, but because we have the board set on

It's been awhile, but I just hit them with the one-inch impact for a
second-or-so, and they've never come off. It's important to remember
that the studs must be in good shape, and the inner nuts must be
tightened sufficiently (using the slam it for a couple of seconds on the
big gun method), then the outer nuts tightened in the same manner. I've
used this with both alcoa wheels and steel wheels. As another
possibility, I've seen them spin loose if left or right side lugs
weren't used on the proper side. . .
