Fwd: EVs and Tesla at Lake Tahoe   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1145 of 1303 |
Howdy,

If anyone wants to display their EV at Lake Tahoe on July 11 & 12,
please sign-up using the link below.

Charging is available along I-80 from San Franciso to Tahoe City every 40 miles or so.
see www.EVchargerNews.com for charging locations and details.

I know it is a long way from Silicon Valley, but maybe you could turn it into a mini-vacation.

Adios,

Jerry Pohorsky

Subject: EVs and Tesla at Lake Tahoe

Dear Jerry Pohorsky:

On behalf of the Electric Auto Association of Northern
Nevada and the Sierra Green Building Association we would
like to extend an invitation to Silicon Valley EAA chapter
members to display their xEV(s) at the Tahoe greenFEST
<http://sigba.org> on either Saturday or Sunday (or both
days!), July 11th and 12th at the Boatworks Mall in Tahoe
City, California <http://www.tahoecityshopping.com>.

Of interest to EV enthusiasts is Tesla Motors will have a
booth at this event and up to three Tesla Roadsters will be
on display. Also, way back in 1998 three EV1s were caught in
this photo <http://tinyurl.com/mnno7j> charging at Jake's
Restaurant at the Boatworks Mall.

A limited amount of 120vac, 15amp & 240vac, 50amp (CS6365
type) charging will be available from a bio-fueled
generator. Also, Tahoe City is on the eastern end of the
I-80 charging infrastructure <http://www.evchargermaps.com
and charging is available at the Tahoe City Public Utility
District Headquarters with one small paddle, one Avcon, and
one NEMA 5-20 <http://tinyurl.com/mn7z4c> (all reported
working on 6/19/09 by Tesla 198).

Please direct interested parties to this online sign-up form
<http://tinyurl.com/mo46wu> if they'd like to display their
xEV(s) at the Tahoe greenFEST on the northshore of beautiful
Lake Tahoe.

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you at the Tahoe
greenFEST!

Be well,
