Yes, the date is correct.

For next season we can consider other dates, but this season it is the best
compromise ;-)

I will try to tell you why choose this date:

We need at least 4 months to get the event rolling. (Raffle prices
organized, other clubs informed, getting all the paperwork done, etc. etc.)
We found already some great help, but we need a committee and some
volunteers to fill the chairs ;-) Soon we will have it online.

That said now way we could run it in January. But January is in general
difficult, the only weekend with enough people out there is MLK, but there
are already two other events, Cleanup in Glamis (ASA) and Truckhaven Hills
Poker Run (CORVA)
So February, there is PD and that would be not fair to run another event at
Dumont. All other weekends are off weekends

So now we end with March. March first is already a CORVA event, March 8th
weekend is the CORVA convention, so that weekend is off limit to get CORVA
Clubs involved and March 28th weekend is the CORVA Expo, there would be no
BLM and CORVA help

So we had the feeling the march 15th weekend is the best date we can end up.
Last season mid March weekends are still real good visited weekends and we
have enough time that maybe the dunemasters can make it as a club weekend.
We try also to bring in the Escarabajo Buggy Club and the Los Aventureros
Club. This clubs normally make April trips to Dumont and Escarabajo club did
made a Cleanup last season. There are other clubs that are often at
St.Patricks day weekend out at Dumont.
