Alex, That section of code does an "octane reset" everytime the ECU is completely rebooted, by reloading "FF" into the octane value, setting it to full octane....

If you are using a standard 27c256, you can't erase it unless you have a UV eraser. You need a chip that can be overwritten or electronicly erased....
