My head is now assembled. Valve lift at the valve is 9.25mm for both
intake and exhaust. Cam timing is - INTAKE: Opens @ 18 degrees BTDC
and Closes @ 48 Degrees ABDC. EXHAUST: Opens @ 54 degrees BBDC and
Closes ATDC. Total duration of intake and exhaust is 246 degrees. The
valves are 1mm larger in diameter. New seals and a tight valve stem
to valve guide clearance will control oil consumption. New PT Cruiser
roller followers and hydraulic adjusters beef up the valve train. New
crane springs with stock retainers will help prevent any valve
floating at high RPMs. Intake and exhaust ports have been gasket
matched and a little bowl modification to accommodate the larger
valves. To top all this off is the Crane Nitrous Roller Cams which
will be driven by Fidenza adjustable cam gears.
These mods should help the 2.0L breath better and will be ready when
I can afford the Nitrous setup.
