Well, I only have a couple questions to ask about this one. Did all
of the pulleys check out good as far as the bearings go? The
tensioner could be pushing it out towards the cover. Are you sure
that none of the pulleys are warped? A warped unit can cause the same
problem. Just a couple of thoughts.

hey all i have a big problem with the timing belt on my 84 omni. its

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You could have saved yourself $23 and went to Radioshack to get a
smaller resister. That's all that it is. OH I almost forgot about
that Box and wire that is attached to it.
Not to take away from this group but there are other mailing lists. The big
one is www.turbodoge.com. The Shelby Dodge Club also has one.

Description
The G-Box Performance Module From Next Level Performance
Vehicle Application:Toyota Celica
Our Guarantee
We guarantee that the G-Box will outperform ANY other performance module on the market for under $100.00. In fact, we're so confident in this product that if you find a better performing module for under $100.00, we'll not only refund your
purchase price, but we will also pay for the alternate module!
The G-Box is a BRAND NEW performance product just hitting the market! Available now at over 50% off the introductory retail price! The module was designed to directly compete with the more expensive performance modules, power programmers and upgrade chips, but at a significantly reduced cost. The G-Box not only competes with these higher priced products, but OUTPERFORMS many of them as well. This is not the same type of override module being sold on eBay by other sellers. We will not inflate test results for the sake of advertising competition. Performance Gains Averaging 8 - 12 Horsepower!

Statistical Definitions
Average- An average is computed by taking the sum of the results and dividing by the number of results. Example- If the results were: 8, 10, 12. The average would be (8 + 10 + 12) / 3. (Average = 10)
Median- A median is simply the "middle" result. Arrange results in ascending or descending order and this middle result is the median. Medians are used to eliminate biases caused by averages when a few outstanding numbers skew results in a particular direction. Example- If the results were: 5, 10, 12, 14, 100. The median would be the middle number, which is 12. Taking an average of those numbers would result in an answer skewed much higher(in this case it would be 28.2, clearly not an accurate representation of the result set).
Range- A range is simply the highest and lowest
of the results seen. Example- If the results were: 5, 6, 9, 12, 14. The range for this set of results would be 5(lower limit) and 14(upper limit).
Enough With The Math! So Why The G-Box?
The G-Box gets results! Designed to be the low-cost-leader in the chip & module market, the G-Box offers more than a very significant cost savings over the similar models from other performance companies. All of these units modify the fuel curve of the engine, however, some products require that you change the thermistat in your vehicle, adding more cost to the already not-so-cheap price tags of $250+. Many users are dissatisfied with this because they have had much difficulty getting heat during the winter months. The Next Level module does not require the replacement or adjustment of any other parts on your vehicle. The G-Box also provides Signal Error Protection during extreme operating conditions, other modules and chips do not. The stage 1 G-Box did NOT require the use of
premium fuel during testing, many other performance modules do(Premium fuel will however enhance the performance gains acheived by the G-Box). And best of all, the Stage 2 upgrade module is tentatively scheduled to be released this fall, at which point Next Level plans to offer it to Stage 1 owners at a deep discount if they wish to upgrade to more aggressive and versatile performance settings.
Installation is fast and simple! Soldering is NOT required! Approximate installation time is only 15 minutes! The G-Box is also very easy to remove with almost no trace of previous installation. Installation instructions are included with this item.

And! The G-Box is not available in stores yet, the starting bid is almost 50% LESS than the retail INTRODUCTORY PRICE! Buy It Now for OVER 35% LESS than the retail INTRODUCTORY PRICE! That makes it an even better cost-per-horsepower ratio!
Some Background Information
Fuel/oxygen ratios in modern automobiles are regulated by an Electronic Control Unit(ECU). Factory ECUs are set to maintain a 14.7:1 Fuel/Oxygen ratio, this is known as a stoichiometric fuel mix. This mix is a balance between power and fuel economy, which is what most automobile buyers are happy with. In general, leaning out the fuel/oxygen ratio will cause a power loss, but fuel economy gain, conversely richening the mix will cause a slight (usually less than 1/2 mpg) reduction in fuel economy, but an increase in power. The fuel/oxygen ratio must remain between 13:1 and 17:1 to remain efficient, any leaner and the engine will be starved for fuel, any richer and the engine will not be able to combust all of the fuel causing inefficiency. Performance chips and modules increase performance by adjusting these ratios between 13 and 14.7, the more performance oriented fuel curves.
About the G-Box
The G-Box enhances performance in two ways. First, it modifies signals being read by the ECU causing an adjustment to the fuel curve, which is what creates the performance gain. All performance chips and modules operate in this manner. The fuel curve is modified across the entire rpm range, increasing low-end throttle response, increasing high-rev power and making upshifting more crisp. The second feature of the G-Box is it's "High-Heat Signal Correction." In short, when the engine compartment heats up, some sensors that relay pertinent fuel curve contingent information to the ECU begin to lose accuracy due to heat absorption into the sensor. The ECU then reads these incorrect signals, and leans out the fuel curve, which is bad for performance. These errors cannot be corrected from within the computer, there must be an independant unit to correct these errors. The G-Box is designed to automatically compensate for these
signal errors.

Hi my name is wayne im located in NE ohio near cleveland. I am
selling my prize possetion which is my turbo z. here is a run down of
what all is done to her.
I bought her with 86K on it. I completely removed all the interior
cleaned and replaced it all back inside replacing any damaged parts,
the seats are in beautiful condition, no rips and very lil wear (I
did however remove the pump from the driver seat) I replaced the
headliner, I pulled the carpet from another daytona with a lil nicer
carpet in it and steamed it clean then put it in, i put the door
panels from a laser XT in it(now has the accent lights in the doors)
I also put the rear sunvisors from a laser XT in it. the interior is
id say a 9 out of 10 like all t-tops cars it has power windows and
thats about the only option, it also has power mirrors and rear
defrost which all works. the dash now reads 88K.
As for the outside. I had her repainted proffessionaly just over a
year ago, the car was disassembled and all body work was done it was
kept the origional color (red), I had the hood vent painted red and
the rear panel where the plate mounts is also red, I had the
windsheild replaced and all the trim was repainted the origional flat
black as well. I put the tail lights from a laxer XT in as well, it
now has a very nice set of rear louvers on with the stands still
attached, the windows are tinted approx.35% it has cross drilled
front rotors and painted rear drums. it now has a set of 17" konig
monsoon wheels on it which look excellent but i would remove them and
give you the stock pizza wheels if you dont like em.
Now mechanicly, still a T-1 but its been changed to the 89 T-1 mitsu.
turbo, head intake all that stuff it has a 3.0 throttle body,
recalibrated logic module (12psi boost) the block was bored .020
over, it has all new pistons rings bearings and seals block is
painted red, also has +20 injectors and a 2.5" exhaust from the turbo
out, no cat,no muffler! there may be more done mechanicly but
honestly i cant remember at this time.
Now im sellign cause i need money and i have seem to lost interest in
the turbo thing so she has just sat for about 8 mos. since i did the
head and turbo change. i drove on the turbo and head when it was on
its previous car but never have driven on it with this car. as of
right now the car does not run cause i never finished everything when
i changed the top end. all it needs now is all the vacuum work needs
to be done, it needs the throttle cable changed(i have the cable), I
have no air box for it, it needs collant and a battery plus maybe a
few minor odds and ends. the timing has been set and the engine is
completely assembled so im sure there is no reason why it wont run
when this work is done. It comes with a nice set of MP struts,
leather bags for the t-tops and a set of GTS headlight covers. I have
a box full of reciepts for parts totaling almost $6000 but im selling
the car as it is for $2500, and if you dont want the wheels on it
then ill sell it with the pizza wheels for $1500, no less! any more
questions send me an e-mail.
I am forwarding this message for my friend and co worker Mike. He has
more strut bars made up and back on Ebay again.
Thanks..... Hal
Item # 2411597124
www.ebay.com
I made up 5 strut bars and posted them on Ebay. I havient had alot of
time lately to make them up but I did squeeze out 5 for this month if
interested.
I also have 5 of the rear strut bars available. I don't have one
installed on my car yet since it is still stuck at the paint shop. I
won't get it back until next week and at that time I can install it
and snap some pictures. I do have some pictures of the rear bars on my
web site under the contact me tab. When I get my bar installed I will
take the pictures and post another auction for them on Ebay unless
someone wants a full set or just a rear.
Thanks

200 shot of NOS????Maybe on a V-8,V-10,and V-12
engines. It will blow your engine big time.If it
survives the first shot,it will definitely not last
the second.NOS is great for forged piston/rod/crank
cars but in 50 and 100 shot doses.200 is too much to
put on a 2.2 or 2.5 liter engine, especially the turbo
models. The turbo is already adding alot of engine
pressure.Even on the 3.0 liter V-6 it is very
tolling,may not even take it.
Just dont want you to kill yourself with the typical
gotta have more NOS syndrome.Take care,Mike Tampa

My name is Jim Dean I am 15 years old and I have a 84 Turbo z with
the following mod's, t2 intake, mitsu. turbo,18 psi of boost, two
stage boost controller, weight reduction, Gabriel hijackers air
shocks. My plans for the future are forged pistons and crank, turbo
Cummins intercooler, ported head and exhaust manifold, and a 200 hp
shot of nitrous and more. I posted some pics of my car.
hey everyone this is the second time listing it but i have a 89 blue
shelby daytona, sunroof car, still complete for the most part, frame
rotted out otherwise its pretty clean. tranny sold, intercooler
radiator sold, pumpers sold, other then that the car is still
complete, i would like to move the engine as fast as possible cause i
dont have space for it and i dont want the weather to damage it, it
runs smooth, has just under 100k on it(turbo is sold). plus i also
have a 2.2 84 turbo engine f/s as well, its been slightly rebuilt and
repainted and it has a newer head on it, i personaly have never ran
it so ill go cheap on it considering i dont know much about it. i
also have a set of 15" pumpers here to get rid of, get some of this
stuff off my hands people, e-mail me with offers cause if it stays
here through the winter its not gonna last.
hey everyone, just thought id let ya all know that i will be bringing
ALOT of daytona and turbo parts to the show, however i can only be
there saturday(got the grafton show on sunday).heres a list of some
of the parts i can bring on request.
89 turbo II long block minus turbo, 98k on it, lookin to get $500 for
it but ill take offers through out the week, being that it has the
balence shafts on it id rather not pack it up unless i got it sold.
its a lil heavy. engine runs great.
85 turbo I long block, repainted and cleaned up with new head and
roller cam, does include the intake manifold but no turbo. i have
never ran on this engine only revoved it from a parts car and cleaned
it up, $350obo on that one(the new head is worthe atleast half that)
plus i have complete front and rear bumper covers in white and blue
both removed from shelby/ES daytonas, i have all ground f/x from them
as well.
i have complete 86 turbo z front bumper cover and ground f/x.
i have full set of 4 15" gold crabs, 15" pumpers, 15"pizza wheels.
and i am parting out a 89 shelby daytona so if you need anything from
it(body panels, interior peices) its a complete car and i need to get
it stripped and outa here asap. plus not to mention im gonna bring a
ton of odd ball stuff, so if theres anything your lookin for,
ANYTHING! lmk b4 the end of the week so i can pack it up.
ive also got 2 trannys, a-413 auto and an a-555 manuel well hope to
see you there.
hey everyone, i just picked up a 89 shelby (blue) 5-speed. runs and
drives but is way too rotted underneathe to save so every part is up
for sale. its got just under 100k on it grey cloth int. runs fine but
im not sure if the turbo works or not, and the past owner said that
last time he drove it, it got stuck in 2nd gear and wouldnt come out,
yet it did come out after he shut the engine off and now it shifts
fine, so the tranny may need work but other then that its a complete
car, has enthusiast seat but none of the buttons work, fuse/relay??
still has the pumpers on it but is missing one center cap, also it is
a sunroof car. well hope to hear from ya, i need money. hehe oh and
if anyone is coming to the mid ohio mopar show at 42 on july 27 i can
bring parts there. car is located in northern ohio
hey all, i currently own an 1988 dodge shadow ES turbo.. As of now i
am working on restoring her to her original status. she was really
beat on before i got her, and is in need of a new
engine/transmission. somehow i got her without a single spot of rust
(original paint and detailing).. will post pictures sometime this
week..
paul
