Chuck was a good guy. When we met in Hill Country several years ago he was looking for a Roadname. Looking at his bike with the GPS and other things hanging from the handlebars "Gadget" came directly to name. He said there was already a Gadget on the national forum and did not want to ruffle feathers. His sons are serving our country and he was very proud of them, as I am sure they are of him. If I remember correctly his youngest son just graduated from Marine Corps boot camp and was posted to Afghanistan. We were proud to know him and he seemed to like both Peaches and I. I will remember his Nomads and all the "Gadgets" he had on them and his little croocked smile fondly.

I'm not sure if anyone knows about this. My son, who worked with Chuck Butterick in the past, called me today and told me about Chuck passing away a few months back. He had just heard it today himself.... He was told by one of Chuck's co-workers that he apparently collapsed and died after mowing.. not sure of the details. Bummer.. :(
