RE: [CVT Forum] CVT Prices

Avsar, thank you for your inquiry.

Orbital Traction is researching high speed, high density designs, however, these designs are not currently available for sale to individuals.

The Milner CVT designs that exist today have a 1:5 ratio spread with 1:7 designs having been contemplated and designed but not prototyped.  Maximum rpm in the 8K – 12K is a much more realistic goal for lower power designs (up to 60kW), with lower speeds more feasible for larger power designs due to the mass of the rotating planets.

We wish you the best in your search.

Subject: [CVT Forum] CVT Prices

Dear members,

I am working on a graduation project about transmission systems.

I need a CVT with capability of 150-200Nm Torque and operating at a maximum rpm of 20000

The CVT I need shall also promise a ratio of approximately 1:10

The most critical point is that I have a space of  100 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm

One close example I could find is   http://people.bath.ac.uk/enscjb/milner.pdf

But I could not find the price of this cvt.

As you can guess from the style of my questions I am not a professional:)

If you could suggest me a way to find the price of this customized CVT I need I would really appriciate it.

Thank you very much.

Waiting for your help, stucked in googling.
