changing lug pattern   Message List

Greetings: working on my son's 91 g60- replacing right rear
axle&brakes&wheel after he took one too many turns in the snowy
parking lot- one of his lady friends said it was so pretty -looked
liked a ballet until he hit the curb and went into the orchestra pit.

So we have 3 Borbet H2 eurostyle 16 x 7.5 rims in really good shape
but can't find another- the lug pattern is 4 x 100mm. Given this
pattern is not all that common over here, can the lug pattern be
changed by changing the hubs/rotors? Note I haven't had the front
apart yet (it's only a matter of time....) There is a bunch of used
5 lug 16/17 inch wheels on the used market.

I am not keen on the idea of adapters only from lack of experience
and on a small car.... the way he drives.... ya know?!

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.... anyone having a Borbet H
(2) et 35 they may want to discard, let me know- or if you need
three for the one you have?!?!??

Jeff
