ABS speed sensor removal and replacement   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #114 of 507 |

Would like to confirm the Corrado's distaste for snow- but it
doesn't help when the driver is doing 40 mph spin-outs in a parking
lot that has cement curbs (look next time, pinhead!).

As such, replacing entire passenger side rear wheel,
axle/brake/spindle assembly (just what I want to do in subfreezing
temps).

Can anyone give advice on how to safely remove the speed sensor from
the spindle base? I am afraid I may damage it further (it's a bit
off) but the spindle has become a coat hook. Wheel has a hole in it
the size of my hand. Brake hub shatterred (I am mezmerized- I've
never seen a fractured rotor before!). Have a replacement ordered,
but can't find the connection in the subframe either. Need to drift
the sensor out?

Also, does anyone have a schematic of the assembly to make sure I
don't miss anything? Thanks to Charley for the CD's but I can';t get
anything other than the Hayne's specs to read off them.

Many thanks in advance-

Jeff
