I've never had to change one, but it should be pretty straight forward. People seem to break them pretty regularly when loosening / tightening the oil filter. ...

Are you sure that it is the sensor and not the filter housing itself? There are 3 O-rings in the filter housing that are often the cause of leaks in that area....
