Re: [Colorado XJ] Jeep Cherokee Questions Best A/T Tire and Rubicon Express Lift

BFG A/T's I think would be best, have used them and never had any issues with them.  As far as the lift, Rubicon is good, but go with new leafs rather than the AAL. With AAL's they will sag within a few years and then your back to doing the same thing again as well as they have a pretty stiff ride which isn't good for a DD. The extra money is worth it.

I am looking for others opinions on the best A/T tire for the Denver area with our winter snow and icy roads. I just bought a 2001 Cherokee and am looking at lifting it 3 1/2" with the Rubicon Express lift ad running 31" tires on the ProComp Series 52 15x8 rims.

1) Other than price will I notice any difference between the 3-1/2" Super-Flex add a leaf or the kit with the new leaf springs?

2) Here are a few tires I am looking at in the 31X10.5X15 size.
ProComp All Terrain
BFG All Terrain
Dick Cepek Fun Country
ProComp "new" Xtreme All Terrain
or something else???????

This is my daily driver and will see an average 75% street use and 25% offroad. My commute is about 3-1/2 miles through town.

Thanks

Just my opinion of course... Add-a-leafs will stiffen the ride, especially one that is to give you a 3.5" lift. If you had the money, I'd do the whole spring...
