Crank Position Sensors   Message List

My 2002 Deville is not starting like it should. A dealer in Lake
Havasu, AZ told me I needed a pair of crank position sensors. He stated
they always replace them in pairs. They wanted $250 plus parts (another
$150) for the job. I drove on to Amarillo where I presently reside.

Any information on these sensors and how difficult they are to replace
would be appreciated. I found a parts site showing an upper and lower
crank shaft position sensor. The cost was $44.38 and $47.54. I assume
these must be the sensors the mechanic was referring to.

Thanks for your advice.
