Thanks, I'll try that.
I hope all is well with you and yours there. Been very busy here.

I'm at a disadvantage because the only C-J that I have been around is
my own, but the engine in mine seems awfully noisy.
It is an OHV model and I checked the valve clearance and they are all
right, but there is a rattly, chattery, sloppy piece of machinery
sound coming out of the engine from somewhere.
Is this natural for the engine? Is there something I should check?
I hate to run it until something breaks and then try to figure out
what happened.
And sometimes I can run up to 60 mph (tall gears) with no trouble and
at other times under identical conditions it doesn't want to do much
over 45. I'm wondering if this might be due to an intermittently bad
spark advance in the distributor.
And I keep tweaking the carbs but the right cylinder is pretty
consistently cooler than the left. It does occasionally burn some oil,
and maybe that keeps it cooler?
If there are any C-J owners near Tidewater Virginia I'd love to
compare bikes. To those familiar with the Russian bikes, is there any
point in my comparing my C-J to a Dnepr or Ural? there are a few in
the area.
