I have a 2001 pt cruiser limited. I bought the 75K extended warranty
took it for all of it's reg. scheduled maintance. no longer under
warranty at 93K highway miles last week the cooling fan motor went
out, dealer only part, over $400 to fix this week the planetary gear
exploded, they want $3,5oo to fix it. I just think that a
transmission should last longer than three years. my husbands ford
has over 250K miles and the transmission is still good. I still owe
$10K after refinancing at a lower rate and can not afford to get it
fixed.
