standard lugnuts for the x-11 rims are still acorn, NOT shank. if you tried to use your old open-end lugnuts, the tire socket / 4 - way probably slipped off...

Try using conical seat acorn lug nuts, they will fit better and wont destroy your alloy rims like a standard taper seat acorn nut you would use on a standard...
