I wouldn't wish homelessness on anyone, I've been there and it's not all
it's cracked up to be. Try not to panic and no matter what happens,
keep a stiff upper lip and do the right thing. One of these days the
American people (and the Democrats in particular) will figure out you
can't tax your way out of poverty, it just drives those with money away
from investing (which is where jobs come from).

I'm hoping the economy gets better soon, so I can realize my dream of
owning another Cherokee WT with a 401, and moving back to Colorado!

Reno is Ok, it's just too close to California and their looney bin
philosophies. The Sierra's are NOT the Rockies either!

As soon as I had the engine built I deployed to the Iraq for a year. So when I
came back (1 year later) I only had start up and transfer to storage miles on
the engine, but it had been OVER a year.

but I am just peeved because I don't have money to pull and re-install the
engine!.

my 401 I had some Initial oiling problems. Initally when I was installing my
newly rebuilt motor I had 0 oil pressure. So I think my cam went flat. My motor
started ticking (lifters) after around 500 miles. I had a shop pull the worn cam
and repace it with another k8600 cam and lifter set. As soon as they did another
lifter started ticking. I brought it in to have them replace the bad lifter and
now big bad news! In checking the lifter the mechanic saw I had low oil pressore
@ idle (5-10). He drained the oil and put a 20-40 weight in to see if that made
a difference. Well it did not bot he saw brass flecks in the oil and now the
bottom end is making a big sound! The engine rebuilder says he will work with
me, but the shop wants $1000 to pull the engine! i'm tapped out on funds, but
i'm in

doing the dreaded cash for clunkers program!
