Ken I remember back about 4 years ago doing the heads on a Lumina MPV and if I
remember right. The directions from Alldata said to clamp the cruise line so it
wouldn't slip back into its sheathing. Am I thinking of the right vehicle or am
I thinking of another vehicle? Could that possibly be the problem here?

everything back up and started vehicle the idle was @ 3000 rpms so i
disconnected the cruise control from the throttle. the cable is not stuck i took
the crusie control box apart Its the white cord inside the box that is stuck. Im
assuming that the motor that winds the cord up is not working. Before doing the
work to the motor my cruise worked perfectly fine. I was not sure if there was
something you need to do after disconnecting it from the throttle to get it to
work again or if its messed up and needs replaced. Not sure why it would be
messed up i nor anyone else touched the cruise till after motor work was done
and it shot idle up.

It worked fine till the engine work.

have forgot to hook up the ground? or maybe the cable is kinked? I would look
into what was hooked up wrong or not hooked up at all.
