The stock cap is supposed to be 16lbs. THe radiator is almost new. My biggrest concern is that there is a lot of pressure on the rest of the cooling system....

I think you should be OK. I have 9's all the way around on my car and rub just a little bit. The 1/2 in difference should take care of any issues you have....
