There’s a strong plug-in thread, with well-known
figures such as Andy Frank from UC Davis, Ed
Kjaer from Southern California Edison, and the
CEOs from batterymakers A123Systems, Compact
Power, EnerDel, and Johnson Controls-Saft. Other
plug-in presenters include John Waters, the
leader of the plug-in practice for Rocky Mountain
Institute, and Malcolm Bricklin, founder and CEO
of Visionary Vehicles, who just announced a
battery partnership with Electrovaya at the
Detroit Auto Show. The conference also includes
C-level executives from Bosch, Volkswagen, and
