Dear new Cadillac Mailing List (CML) member,
You have just subscribed to the CML and I would like this opportunity to welcome
you. In order for the CML to remain a healthy and friendly environment, a few
simple rules are in effect. I would like you to take a few minutes of your time
and review these rules. They can also be found at the CML Web Site at
http://drive.to/cml.
1. What can I expect to receive?
This depends to the kind of service that you subscribe to. The CML offers two
kinds of mailings: non-digest and digest. The non-digest service is the one that
is chosen by most members. When you subscribe to this service, you will receive
each individual mail posted to the CML. Generally, the traffic averages around
30-40 emails per day. For subscribers with little time, small mailboxes or
reduced interest in the CML, a digest service is available. The CML will make a
global mail for each 50 mails received. This global message is then dispatched
to the digest members. This means digest members will receive something between
5 and 7 CML mails per week. All CML digest messages are stored in the CML
Archive. These archives can be consulted and files can be requested.
2. What can I use the list for?
You can use the list for questions, opinions, inquiries or other matter
regarding Cadillacs.
3. How do I post a message?
Pretty simple. Just send an email to
TheCML@eGroups.com or reply to an existing
CML message.
4. How do I unsubscribe?
Send a blank message to
thecml-unsubscribe@eGroups.com.
5. What can I not use the list for ?
The following topics will not be allowed on the CML: advertising or other
commercial material, flaming, uncivilized behavior, insulting, non Cadillac
related matter. A subscriber who violates this rules will be permanently dropped
from the list. Please do not post binaries on the list, unless when specifically
requested. Some people have very slow connections and retrieving 5MB of pictures
with your email client can be become very annoying.
6. A few simple guidelines
Always use an appropriate subject. Messages without subjects, or messages with
totally incorrect subjects are confusing and do not contribute to a healthy
mailing list environment.
Be polite and respect others. Having healthy discussions is OK and nobody
expects you to share anyone else's opinion. As long as the discussions remain
polite, there is no problem.
"Snip" your replies. If you reply to mail, only quote that part that is relevant
to your reply. Please do not repeat the entire message and please remove the
subscribe/unsubscribe footer.
Enjoy the CML!
