see if you can get a flashlite and look at the neck of the water pump. There are
weep holes on one side or the other that warn you of a seal-bearing failure. you
should see some stains around the weephole.
If not there, then possibly the throttle body heat hose. thats under the
throttle body and a little out of sight. The front side is likely the pump. Its
a good days work to change a waterpump in a vette even if you have a good
back....you won;t when you're done.
dont try to do it without the book to help guide you. pretty much everything has
to come off to remove the pump. If it IS the pump, you might want to consider an
upgrade to a cast-impeller pump. several after market places make them.. They
move twice the water and aid in cooling alot.
