C4 Antifreeze Leak...   Message List

Hey Group--

Need your advice.....we have a 1989 C-4 and just today noticed
a antifreeze leak in the driveway. The leak seems to be coming from
about mid-way of the engine and not around the radiator or radiator hoses. The
engine has been running fine....no over-heating...good
gas mileage...good temperatures...and running like a champ in North Carolina's
finest weather:)

Any thoughts why this is happening or where it's coming from? Water
pump?? Your thoughts and comments are appreciated?

see if you can get a flashlite and look at the neck of the water pump. There are weep holes on one side or the other that warn you of a seal-bearing failure....
