Re: Question for 1994 Bounder owners

Thanks. I would have never thought to check the ground connections.

connections that are between the batteries and the Frame. They get rusty and
loose there connection, just enough to affect the speedometer and also the
tachometer at times. Also have had the ground wire at the Alternator cause the
meters to do a little dance, had the check engine light come on once due to the
ground connection at the Alternator having oxidized. Thing is, always keep an
eye on all the ground connections. I have had the speedometer go from about 60 /
65 MPH up to where it was off scale and the Tachometer never moved from its 1800
/ 1900 RPM reading. So I have learned to drive using the tach. as a speed
reference for a back up.

The rear left turn signal and brake light is not working. The speedometer is
acting up. The speedometer sometimes has a reading when the motorhome is not
moving and sometimes does not read right while driving. the dash AC is not very
cool. There is a little bit of a drip from one of the transmission lines. I
should have checked it out a little better before I bought it. Maybe I would
have at least caught some of the problems and negotiated al least some of them
getting fixed before I bought it. Another lesson learned the hard way I guess.

just try to use one of the standard reveivers because our Bounder still has the
old tube type TV.

ie. Dish network or Direct by telling you where to point it. If your Lnb and
cables are in good working order you should get a signal. I'd take your rig to
someone that can verify you're getting a signal in the coach at the receiver
connection. The only thing you have to do with the box is occasionally plug it
in to a phone line so the network can send updates and verify your ID card. Good
luck.
