This group has been created for fans and owners of Boles Aero vintage travel trailers. Please use this forum to discuss any topics related to your Boles Aero trailer. This is the only discussion group on the web that is exclusively focused on the appreciation, restoration and enjoyment of the Boles Aero line.
Boles Aero trailers are overlooked by some of today's collectors as their popularity with the general public never reached the level of Airstream or other highly promoted makes. Boles trailers, however, are amongst the best built and most beautifully finished trailers ever produced...due mainly to the continuity in the companies' ownership and the unwavering commitment to quality.
Mr. and Mrs. Boles began building their high quality aluminum trailers in their Burbank, California "facility" in 1946 and continued for over 35 years under the same ownership. A feat unmatched in the industry. To learn more about the Boles Manufacturing Co. and their beautiful trailers, please visit www.bolesaero.com
Margaret, I just want to mention that "split rim" wheels are not illegal, nor are they particularly unsafe. I hear this sated as fact allot in the old trailer
Michelle, Gee, it doesn't look that bad! I think what might help you is to throughly clean the trailer inside. Then you can really see what needs to be done.
