I saw a demonstration of mig welding the other day and
it was very nice
I tried it on a few well fitted tubes and it was wonderful
They useed it for some patch panels and it really put in very little if
any distortion.
I made a few "squares" to see what sort of tension would
be in the structure and cut them apart and absolutely no
twist, no real reason for heat treating afterwards (anyway I think the
heat treat would melt the braze)
hmmm (not like my tig welds anyway" the heat is way lower
the flow is real nice...
I've seen old race cars with brazed chrome moly (that held up very well
thank you)
Has anyone tried this for making frames. If I can get
my hands on to one for a week or so I may try it.
