To Whom It May Concern:

 My name is Matt Hannam.  I am the Chairperson for the 2008 Panther District Scout Show – an annual combined effort brought to you by the BSA SWFL Council and Lee County Parks and Recreation.  I am emailing you to see if your car club would be interested in volunteering its services and participating in our event this year. We really would like to locate a few classic car enthusiasts.  Last year our show attracted more than 6000 visitors throughout the day.  We anticipate an even larger crowd this year.

 Our Scout Show is a community wide event (we invite many other local non profits to participate – to include the FL Hwy Patrol, Lee County Sheriff, South Trail Fire Dept, etc) – which we use to promote Scouting and other community organizations to the general public.  It is a one day event that is scheduled for May 10^th, 2008 – from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. 

 At the show one of the events will be the Panther District Pinewood Derby (you know – those little cars that the boys make and race).  If you and any of your friends would be interested in bringing a few classic cars to display near the Pinewood Derby we would really appreciate it – as it would be a nice addition to the race.

 I would like to point out to you that this would be an excellent opportunity for you to promote yourself and to recruit new potential members!
