I know what ya mean sometimes why do we bother with
these delightfull old cars... yes and its because they
are cool and we love the bl%&dy things. Even when we
get stranded on a dark cold road at 3 am and have to
put up with a grumpy old recovery man. Stay with it.

Hi All, My son has a 1967 Mini Deluxe with a 998 engine. Currently it will start OK and seem fine till we drive it and it comes up with practically no power.... 		Charlie

Having read and re read your problem, i can only think of a timing fault. Having changed the dizzy, i presume you placed it back in the same way as the other...

I would have thought that a blown gasket or damaged valves would have showed up perhaps in the running of the engine more and the checking f the cylinder...
