Hi All I was just wandering. In all the spare parts and tools to take with you lists on the web, most mention taking spare fuel as well, but not in the car....
I'm no expert but that sounds like a pretty good place to put them. In my opinion you could save yourself the trouble and add a second tank behind the seats...

just don't plan on getting hit in the side. Remer the Chevy truck gas tank explosions? Gas tanks were in the same place as you are putting them. Just less...
