Hello all,
Lefty and I are working on getting our BG ready for the 05 season and I
was wondering about tow hooks, specifically in the rear. We plan on
running mainly at Road Atlanta and Carolina Motorsports Park. Road
Atlanta has particularly deep gravel traps, especially at Turn 5.
Since the rear tow hook is so extremely low, was wondering if anyone
was using an alternate location or what was being done to address how
low this eye is. If you get good and buried in a trap, getting to this
hook is going to be very tough. Also, due to its forward location, it
seems that there would be the risk of the strap entangling the fuel
cell as well. I've been thinking about bolting the rear bumper to the
chassis (ours just slips on......don't know if that is still the
standard or not.), but this area is slightly gray in the rules. Anyone
planning on running any BG events in the SE this year??
