Thanks for the replies, looks like I'm gonna wait until 150 and save the
money... I'm sure I'll invest it wisely. :-)

Isn't the recommended interval more like 60k? That's the marker at which I took
my '02 SR5 Access in for the "major tuneup," which included timing belt... I'm
now just under 110, and thinking I need to be planning for it around 120.
Thoughts on whether I can / should go longer??? I'm pretty conservative MOST of
the time :), but do occasionally haul some stupid-heavy loads with it.
BTW, just got new skids on it today, the old Michelins went for 80k and STILL
had tread!Replaced them with a new set of Michelin LTX M/S (265-70-16), after
reading reviews on Discount Tire's website from others who had gotten similarly
ridiculous mileage out of theirs... There were two other sets of Michelin
radials available in that size, but on the others, there were complaints about
the tires wearing out rapidly, even though those models are rated for longer
life than the M/S... Go figure. Anyway, truck now rides like I just put on a
new suspension.

125k? I'm guessing this is it's first T belt repacement? I thought I was being
daring by going 120k before I changed mine. Yes...you will definitely want to
get a kit and do the water pump, and belt tensioner, cam and crank seals... all
pretty easy once you're in there. I bought my kit from a guy I found on ebay.
Email him for a quote VolksToy Motorsports: volkstoy at msn.com. He was very
friendly, knowledgeable, and good price on excellent parts. I changed my
serpentine belt and spark plugs while I was at it. I also put in a new Toyota
thermostat, since it's got to come out during the job anyway.
I have the timing belt replacement OEM instructions for 4.7 engine in a PDF
file... anyone who wants a copy, just Email me at i_rockthenight AT yahoo.com
and I will send them to you. Good luck on the job, and feel free to post or
email me with any questions... but I've seen your work and I think you'll be
just fine.
