Dale,

If you want those lights to be service free for many years, coat
the rivets, all internal and mounting hardware and conductors,
and the bulb bases with LPS-3 spray as you assemble and mount
them.


Another thought:

I haven't done so but a friend replaced the bulbs with LED lamps,
which should last the life of the trailer.

The thing to remember is that LED's are mounted in the
replacement "bulbs" facing to the end or to one side. So you
have to know the orientation of the sockets so you can order the
LED units that will point in the correct direction.
