This campaign is about Human beings, Democracy, UNHCR, Refugees, The Iraqis,
Islam, Kurds, Human rights, Respect, Money, Donations, Angelina Jolie,
Pavarotti, Giorgio Armani, Donors, Peace, History, Campaigns and about you if
you care about these words.

Hi there,

I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I
helped make many changes and improvements at the UNHCR office in Beirut; I used
the Internet as the field for my activities (you can read more about that in my
free ebook 'MY CAMPAIGNS'). All my ebooks are free and could be download from my
sites.

This is my newest campaign, it's about the illegal and humiliating actions of
the UNHCR, who using photos of refugees as banners and human-buttons to collect
money. This is an abuse of the dignity and humanity of the refugees and must
stop immediately and a clear public apology present by The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. My friends, I am talking about the pictures you can
see here: http://lebanon.envy.nu/human-buttons.htm

Also you can read my new campaign 'Urgent, we need smile' here:
http://lebanon.freewebpages.org/smile.html

For more info about UNHCR and life of refugees you can read my free ebooks. I
invite you as fellow humans and members of the world community to support my
campaign by reading my article on my site and see the human-buttons. The
campaign is to support and improve the UNHCR http://www.unhcr.ch especially
after the last scandals in the UN and UNHCR, just for example:
http://www.mizzima.com/archives/news-in-2005/news-in-april/12-April05-22.htm

"We make demonstration and fast because the UNHCR office in Cairo did nothing
for our problem..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4440730.stm

Together we will build better world.

You could reach me fast via this form:

and if you like to know more about me, you can google for my name 'osam

Hey guys

I just bought a used 1996 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro with tiptronic
transmission unfortunately I never got the manual along with it...

Could someone help me with the following

1) When the car is stationary and I press the check button the display
cycles through all the images of possible problems at the top in yellow
finally ending up with an "OK" But just below the check the symbol for
coolant problems and low oil pressure light up in red. Although these
don't show up when driving only when I press the check button... is
there something working with the system?

2) How do I set the memory seats?

3) What is the top speed of the A8 4.2 Quattro?

4) What is the max performance tire size that can be put on an A8

5) Does anyone have a maintenance schedule for the A8?

6) Any good sites or recommendations for performance upgrades?

7) Finally I wanted to convert the A8 into an S8... any good website or
suggestions?

Ill try and get pic the next time!

thanks

Boney Varghese

Hi, all.

Not sure if it's OK to post "for auction" items here, but here goes...

Listed on ebay, a 2004 Audi A8 L press kit, issued at the 2003 Los
Angeles Auto Show. This is a CD-ROM press kit in a leather "CD wallet"
with 20 slots, so beyond carrying the press kit CD, it could be used
to store audio CDs in the glove compartment. Mint condition.

Thanks for looking,

Pete

You probably just need to make the correct settings
using the vag-com software.....see this page:

Have you ever had your instrument cluster changed?

I would just post this to Audiworld:

My 2000 A8 does not display the radio/phone info in the console that
is between the tach and speedometer. There is info posted there
when the navigation system is being used so it is not like the
pixels are out. I have a bose symphony system. Any way to make

Thanks for that. The forum is huge! An excellent resource for reference...

My plan is to get the car serviced by an independant garage, who charch

Go to www.audiworld.com A8 forum and look through some
of the posts, there are a ton of them. Don't worry
about the body shop, unless it requires frame repair
or welding, any qualified body shop can do the work.

Considering the goof balls that work on the A8 at the
dealers (they rarely know what they are talking about)
I don't think body work is a concern.

You will love the car!

Hi everyone. I am on the point of getting rid of my 13 year old BMW 735i and
thinking about a S/H A8 Quattro, probably a 4.2.

The main reservation I have is the aluminium body and the fact there are
only 2 workshops in the UK with the necessary kit to perform repairs.

Can anyone make any recommendations as to what to look for when buying
secondhand? I will be looking to pay about £15k...

I just bought an A8L today... the dealership has misplaces the
manuals, will get them in a couple of days. It's a 2002.

I asked them if the remote would raise the windows, and apparently,
the computer can do it, but needs reprogramming, and Audi does not
put this capability in default.

Anyone know good sites where people have "cracked" the code on
enabling these types of options?
