Well, I tried to repair the missing chunk of my door handle with Alumiweld. I melted two corners of the socket and had globs of metal all over the socket.

Interesting, it is usually the pot metal area of the pivot that cracks and breaks. It is actually called the REMOTE. I have gone through a few of those but
