Yes, sorry Russ my name is Steve Cole and I have been racing in CVAR for 7
years. The club is going to want 72 or earlier cars for production cars and yes
we have later spiders running with us. The scrutization will not be strict for
details of authenticity as the visiting cars will not count for points in our
club. So the cars would not be weighed for example or engine size will be free
as long as it isn't a V6 in a 105 type thing. Safety will require compliance
and you can see what is required at our website. For any Alfa powered formula
cars the cut off point is 1979 and we would like to see all things Alfa powered!
I will be racing my yet to be finished..but it will be, I hope? GTAm replica. A
few have asked the date and we do not have it set yet but we have in the past
run the first weekend of April so that is the safe bet for now.
Thanks
Steve

Assuming you allow later Alfas. As you surely know, all Alfa spiders from 1966
through 1994 are very much the same. Alfa spiders from 1971 to 1994 are
virtually identical.
> So what year limits are you putting on the Alfa entires? My current ITB
racer is a 1984 and I will be building a 1991 spider, but may not have it done
by April.

on an Alfa 100th weekend in association with our Spring event at Hallett Motor
Speedway in April of next year. I am putting this out as a feeler for how many
racers we might attract. We usually in these events allow the featured cars to
race in their appropriate groups for the weekend and then have a featured marque
race only on Sunday right after lunch.

If you are interested please send me an PM and if I can get enough Alfa response
the club has said that they would really like to do this. The track serves up a
great dinner Saturday night and the website for the track is at this address
