Di Resta Brothers sign up for Motorsport Scotland Forum

Scottish rising stars Paul and Stefan Di Resta are the latest high-profile names to confirm their appearance at the Motorsport Scotland Forum tomorrow night (Tuesday, August 14).

The West Lothian-based brothers have been tipped to make it to the very top of motorsport.  Paul (21) is currently driving in the German DTM touring car championship and is expected to join fellow Euroseries graduates Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in Formula One.  Meanwhile, Stefan (18) is competing at the top of British karting and has recently tested in Formula Ford.

The Di Restas will join a host of top Scottish names on a rolling panel at Bell College, Hamilton, to give youngsters looking to get ahead in motorsport the inside line on how to succeed.

Part of National Motorsport Week, the forum will chaired by TV presenter Lee McKenzie and feature Scottish sporting champions such as rally legend Jim McRae, British Touring Car star Gordon Shedden, and former World Rally Champion co-driver Robert Reid.  It will also include top performers from Scotland's motorsport industry and education sectors.

Visitors will have the chance to get up close and personal with some of the fastest four-wheelers around - including karts, rally cars and single-seat racers.  There will also be advisers on hand from industry and education to help those looking to start a business or career in motorsport.

The evening kicks off at 6.30pm and will run until 10pm.  Tickets are priced £15 per head and are available on the door on a first-come first-served basis.  Under 17's will be admitted free of charge if accompanied by a paying adult and every ticket redeemed on the night of the event will be entered into a prize draw for a race or rally experience at Knockhill racing circuit.
