Evening all.

Having endured a fraught time of things at the last fun night / autosolo, it is our intention to do things a bit differently this time - all in the interests of making things run a bit smoother.  We do need your help to do this, so please read on and have a think about how you can help.

Firstly, numbers will be strictly limited to 30.

The track will be open from 5.45pm and scrutineering starts at 6.00pm.

First runs will be at 6.30pm.

So, arrive early and get more runs in before it gets too dark /  busy.

Timing.

We will make an honest to goodness attempt to make timing much smoother this time.

This means that all runs will be virtually the full length of the hill.

We will have chicanes as per the last event, but have rejigged them slightly since the last event. The chicanes are an integral and important part of the Autosolo format.

Timing will all be done from the top of the hill in line of sight of the start line to a finish line part way along the straight before final corner of the hill.
This all makes for easier management of the starting and timing procedure, which means more cars through per hour, which means more runs for you.

Scoring. Your best three runs will count to an overall score for the evening, scores being released asap after the event.

Nearly finished, phew.

Now - the really important bit.

To make the evening run as smoothly as possible, we need everyone who is participating to also help out with the running of the event in some way or another.
If we all do that, it means that we don't have the one person stuck on startline duties all night, or hairpin marshall duties all night. Basically, if everyone helps out a little, the load on each of us will be minimal.  If this works properly and we all help out, you shouldn't have to do any more than 15-20 minutes duty on a post. A couple of friends can even do a job together - it's always more fun if you have someone to talk a load of camshafts with whilst you are marshalling. Once you have done your bit, someone else will take over and so on.

That's about all for now. you will find an entry form here :-

The form is self explanatory and should be completed and returned to yours truly ASAP.

All are welcome on the night as well of course, but if you haven't filled in and sent off an entry, there are NO guarantees of getting an entry.

Many thanks for listening and I  hope to see you next Thursday.
