Try rotating your tires every 3k - 5k miles... seriously. I did that with my Contis and it worked well. I let this set of Avon's go a bit too far before...

Yours is the rare case. Believe me. Some cars can go 2-3 years without. But the vast majority get out of whack within 12 months....
