Hi,

I think the FMF pipe was very common in the USA and last time I looked FMF still listed it on their web site.

All body Plastic $560.00 only available from Yamaha, however the rad shrouds are discontinued and the rest of the parts are on back order with no ETA.

Did your engine went over 100 celsius? I meand did it boil. Is that working now? How is it... You have two options, either it boiled or your mixture in low accerleration is too poor...

Itīs not hard, but you have to dismount the whole engine and get some special tools. There are some special treats not to losse the Gear box order. One good thing to do is to get the exploded vision of the crankcase parts out of the parts catalog that I uploaded in the fórum page.

Holy crap I think I fixed it!!!!! All I did was loosen the intake side carb boot
clamp, wiggle the carb a bit to seat it and re tighten the clamp and its like 99
percent better!!!!!! I can&#39;t beleive it!!!!!

The mixture is too rich in low range. Either you have air comiing in somewhere or the low jet is too big ou the neetle needs adjustment.

Just got the bike back to its new home after not seeing it for almost a year.

 

My mechanic friend suspects and air leak someplace where the carb connects to the engine or maybe in the crankcase.

 

All was well until I took the carb off last summer. The bike was hard starting before so I cleaned the fuel screens in the tank (well I cleaned them and then later they kinda crumbled and broke so I removed them). I also flushed particles out of the tank and replaced the formed fuel hose with a new one that did not leak.

 

The carb was nice and clean, but I cleaned it anyway in varsol and blew the passages out with canned air.

 

After I carefully reassembled everything, set the air and idle back to specs from the manual - the problem you heard started. It idles at about half throttle and bogs at full power.

 

I am debating doing a leak down test at the local shop but for now will look at the boot a bit more when I get some time this week.

There is one 1992 WR200 seat cover available on the Australian EBAY. Grocely overpriced though, but is genuine and more importantly brand new.
