Re: Off subject: Available today the Highway speed rated Zotye through Spark-Ev

The Zotye is produced at its own plant in China, and uses stampings from
an older Daihatsu model - biggest visual clue is a difference in the
grill. Zotye is a privately-held Chinese manufacturer, and recently
bought controlling interest in JiangNan, another carmaker.

There is nothing to identify Zotye in any way with making an electric
car - including through JiangNan. The model shown on the Spark-EV web
site is clearly the Zotye model RX6400 - here is a link -
http://www.zotye.com/en/highlight.asp

There may be an electric Zotye out there, but I cannot find any industry
news about it except coming from Spark-EV.

I tried to call Michael Papp of Spark-EV when I was in Pennsylvania last
August, wanted to take a test drive of one of the other models, but
never got him on the phone.

On the balance, I'm not going to get out my checkbook.

As we say in West Texas latin - Caveat Emptor, y'all.

-Roger

I contacted Mike Papp of Spark about the Zyote (as I'm signed to be a dealer, just that his NEV's are not legal in Wisconsin yet, but the Zyote would be). ...

Technically, you only have to crash test 1 vehicle. If you have simulation models that give the same data as the crash test, DOT will allow the simulations to...

Roger, Thanks for the Zotye link. My question is why do they spend so much effort in deceiving us, and instead use some of thier energy giving us what we want?...

I am really suspicious of Sparky-EV, they appear to be the same outfit that brought us the Flybo scam. The Flybo is a Chinese knock- off of the Smart sold...
