Albert "Cowboy" Mitchell
Good Morning All;
I would really appreciate if you would forward this message on to all GWTA members and other riding friends as soon as possible. When I receive our actual staging area from the parade committee, I will send that to you as well.
Auburn's 44th Annual Veterans Day Parade and Observance
Saturday the 7th of November
The parade is on Saturday the 7th of November. We have registered and have been accepted once more to participate in the event as the “Northwest Veterans Motorcycle Group”.
Staging will be along “East Main Street” as always. However I don’t have the specific location where we are to stage for the parade as of yet. Once I have received it I will get it out to State for distribution to all chapters. If for some reason you don’t receive the staging location before hand, all you need do is ask any of the Parade Marshals along Main Street and they can direct you to our area.
We ask that all those riding in the parade with us, be at our assigned staging are no later than 10:15 AM. By doing so, we have a chance to get set up and shoot the bull for awhile before the parade starts at 11:00 AM with the fly over by the US Air Force.
For those who are interested in a pancake breakfast before the parade, the American Legion will be serving a traditional Pancake Breakfast complete with pancakes, eggs, ham and juice or coffee from 7:00 AM until 9:30 AM at the Auburn Senior Activity Center located at 808 North Street SE, Auburn. The cost is only $6.00 per person.
I wish to give a special thanks to all GWTA members and “ALL” their bike riding friends that wish to participate in this special event to honor all veterans. We are really looking forward to a good time spent with good friends. Don’t forget to bring your flags. This is always one very appreciative crowd and they love to see “Stars and Stripes” being displayed on all the bikes.
See you on the 7th.
