Actually the Eco's have been using letter generators for decades, the Difference here is you actually have to write your own letter, their just making it easy...TJ
Found this in the General Chit-Chat forum and it seems to be going pretty good...thought I'd get it over in the Land Use section so it can be seen more easily.
Found this on Pirate under land use, thought it summed the issue up quite nicely so I'm spreading it around, looks like the Dem's are foaming at the mouth in anticipation of the November elections...Tom

However you wish to vote for I do recommend all CORVA members show up at the meeting, however if you can't groups of ten CORVA members or more can assign a delegate, if your not a CORVA Club (most common scenario) use this form:
Only the delegate needs show for the meeting and must be there at 9 AM I doubt if anyone can utilize the CORVA Club form at this point but here's the link, please read the instructions on this form very carefully:
I have been involved in OHV Volunteer programs since 1993, started Off Roading in 1987 when I purchased my first 4x4, actually 2 the first being an old scout and the second being a new Dodge Radar. Started riding ATVĒs and motorcycles in 1999, purchased a Yamaha XT 350 the next year, which primarily gets used for Volunteer patrolling. Was a founding member of the Dirt Devils 4X4 Club and helped draft their originals by laws, this Club is very active with Cal 4 wheel and adopt a tail programs, also hosted an Off Road triathlon in 1994. As one of the original founding Volunteers with the San Bernardino National Forest OHV program I held three leadership positions, Communications (radio), Membership and Sound monitor Coordinator. Also received a conservation award for developing their sound monitoring program, along with numerous awards for general contributions to this, and the Forest service adopt a trail program.
As far as
background IĒve been a member of CORVA since 2005, been attending OHMVR Commission meetings, workshops and conference calls actively since 2004, was very active with the last California South Forest province Land Plan Revision. Have taken classes offered by Trails Unlimited in the area of trails layout and design, and am a certified civilian sound test technician, training in trail maintenance done though Forest Service Volunteer programs. As far as political work I walked precincts and was very active in assembly campaigns in the 90Ēs, most of this was under the direction of the N.R.A. (National Rifle Association), they believed in developing relations with local representatives. Have been attending various meetings for around a decade, with Forest service, B.L.M. or anything pertaining to land use which we all know now covers a wide range of areas. As far as party affiliation I was a Democrat till 1993 when I switched to Republican, main reason
for the switch was I couldnĒt stomach Bill Clinton telling us what the American people want, couldnĒt think of a better way to tell him no.
My goals and aspirations are though CORVA to develop the same wining formula that briefly caused the Democrats to lose control of the assembly, this was again in the 90Ēs and I believe it can be done again, we have everything the N.R.A had and more.

Hi all,
I am running for the office of Assistant Director-Legislatio n
I simply feel CORVA as an Organization needs to be more closely involved with Legislative issues, for example SB 1228 the ATV safety bill is moving on virtually unopposed and un amended. We just passed an ATV Safety bill last legislative cycle, without even taking any time to see if the previous bill AB 2755 can be complied with, this new bill needs to be further studied to be sure we're not locked into an unfunded mandate. CLORV has unfortunately failed us in the last primary election, they didn't provide any voter recommendations and CORVA could be doing more to fill the gap in legislation issues. CORVA needs to strive to be at the table though the development of these bills, experience has shown we just can't pass the buck and expect things to get done, I feel I could be of much service to the OHV Community in this area.

Heard a radio report this morning that the kid got dropped off at a church in Mexico, he's at the Mexican Consulate awaiting U.S. Authorities, RAMOS however is still at large in Mexico. Authorities are also checking into reports RAMOS was involved in a major auto accident in Mexico, so the kid is safe and should have quite a story to tell, the Mother is in serious condition but is expected to survive...Tom

On 7-02-2008 at approximately 1830 hours, the victim arrived at RAMOSĒ residence in the Portola Hills community of Lake Forest for a child custody exchange. RAMOS shot the victim with a 40 caliber handgun as she sat behind the wheel of her vehicle. The victimĒs friend and a 4 year old girl were also in the car, but were uninjured. The victimĒs friend drove to the RalphĒs shopping center on Portola Pkwy and called 911. RAMOS was seen with his son trying to buy plane tickets out of John Wayne Airport after the incident occurred. Californians warned of smoke threat as 1,000 fires burn
10 hours ago
SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) Californians were warned to protect themselves against choking smoke on Thursday as more than 1,000 wildfires blazed across the northern half of the state.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said residents in affected areas needed to keep windows and doors closed, urging people suffering from asthma and respiratory illness to take special care.
"The whole state of California is filled with smoke, it's filled with smoke everywhere," Schwarzenegger told a press briefing in Butte County.
"People have to be very cautious, because smoke is very damaging to your lungs and to your health ... those that have asthma and respiratory and heart conditions, I think they should really be aware of that. Keep your windows closed, keep your doors closed, and take care of yourself."
Schwarzenegger said around 7,000 firefighters were attempting to tackle around 1,000 fires -- many of which were triggered by lightning from dry thunderstorms -- that had scorched 150,000 acres (60,700 hectares). Nearly 40 structures had been destroyed and 900 people evacuated.
Assembly Speaker Karen Bass, has one and possibly two appointments if you include John Brissenden.
She's only been Speaker for a short time so please take that into consideration...Tom

ED Waldheim of CTUC, (California Trail Users Coalition) is interested in locating a group of people interested in devolving a partnership with the Trabuco Ranger District, on the Cleveland National Forest. CTUC heads up Volunteers for both motorized and non motorized projects, but as this Forest all-ready has well established partnerships covering non motorized trials, CTUC will be focusing mainly on motorized trials. This will augment any plans by other organizations to form partnerships with the Trabuco Ranger district, not replace them, anyone interested please contact me and we will set up a meeting with ED.
I have had no luck getting any support for me or anyone to go to Washington, but this is an easy thing we all can do to help, please if you can't do anything else please do this...Tom
The meeting will be on Wednesday May 21st at 7pm at Graziano's Pizza Restaurant 1080 E Washington St. Colton, CA 92324 (909) 824-2770.
From the North, take the Washington Street exit off the Southbound 215 freeway and turn left at the light. From the South, take the Washington Street exit and make two left turns over the freeway. Graziano's is located on the left between McDonald's and Del Taco.
Total support of MOTORIZED Off Road Recreation!!!
Many major cooperations have grant programs, Honda, Yamaha, Dupont,
Polaris
and on it goes, many mom and pop and even mid size companies don't have
the resources to start a grants program. My suggestion is all the CORVA
clubs for example can appoint their own Commissioners, in addition to
the large companies everyone with a stake on Off Road recreation can
donate. This could be from the guy that makes custom hand grips, to the
fast food joint we all stop at for a taco, and even personal donations.
Point is everyone will have a center point to put monetary support,
where they know it will go nowhere but total support of our sport.
I hope you join me...Tom

The OHMVR Commission meeting scheduled for March 6 & 7, 2008, will not be held for lack of a quorum. Since the Commission meeting last December, three Commissioners have resigned. The Division will make every effort to work with the Legislature and Governors office to get appointments made in time for the June meeting.

This is what their proposing on CNF, at Wildomar I would recommend commenting that we need another Kids area, such as re opening the shaded area
just to the right of the main gate. With the erosion control measures and Restoration work up hill, I don't think there's any more real concerns about sediment loss, they should be able to open this again and address these concerns if any some other way.
The ghost trails issue on Trabuco is not addressed, look at the map the links on their word doc take you to, most of these are on non motorized back country land, with the exception of the ones bypassing the radio towers at Santiago peak. Also this area is not open to green sticker use however, these routes have great potential for 4X4's and Dual sport M/C along with routing traffic away from the towers. As far as any other routes remember what we call in the Forest "poison Evy", which means if we touch it we own it or in other words, if we make the claim OHV people are
using these we'll most likely wind up responsible of restoring them, or should I say eradicating them...TJ
Hope you got there when it was open, looks like it will be closed this weekend and well into next week, keep your fingers crossed on last years work holding up...Tom
