Speaking, possibly erroneously, for all who quaffed a wee dram in memory of your
Donald at the campfire, it was great to see you once again, Daze. The next time
we hug, I trust we will not be wearing Huggies.

Clearly it's time for a safety chain, or perhaps an attractive plastic
gimp lanyard.

And seriously, it was wonderful to see everyone, and I appreciate
everyone's hugs and comfort. Don, as a full timer ( although not in an
AS) is happy with his camping wake.

Hi Frank,

I have a Road Trip gas grill with the extra griddle, so the whole top can be
used. If you need it let me know and I will bring along. I will be glad to help
with breakfast if needed.

Hark, ye miserable maggots!
The General's heritage is not French, and I suspect the Frogs would take offense
to his culinary skills grilling an egg-battered slice of bread. However, as
with most of his plaid-shirt and took wearing ilk, he would be more than
qualified sauteeing back bacon in a Labatt's concoction, and Frank, you would do
well with this menu addition from The Great White North. Take Off!

Don, Thank you for the offer, but it is all covered. You could assist
me by carving a half hour of your time so we can talk one on one. I
have a few things I would like to discuss with you. Frank

Hi Frank,

Really looking forward to your famous breakfast. I would be happy to
assist you - just let me know. Being from Canada and a 'bilingual'
country I could perhaps cook the 'FRENCH' toast!

Cheers,
Don

The kitty fee for this rally will be $25 per trailer with more than 1 person and
$13 will only 1 person.
Check in time is 3pm.  I have negotiated with the campground that as long as

Things to do in the area follows.

Things To Do In Berks & Schuylkill Counties - Part 1

________________________________

Mountain Springs Rodeo – Unfortunately there is no rodeo scheduled for the
weekend you will be here. There is however a demolition derbythat Saturday if
you are into that kind of thing.

Roadside America – This is pretty much right across I-78 from the campground
where you all will be staying. It is the greatest known miniature village. It is
a HUGE train layout that the kids (and adults) can enjoy. There are lots of
buttons to push that make it even more fun.

Cabela’s – Everybody knows about Cabela’s, right? Well there’s one
about 5-10 minutes east of the campground just outside of Hamburg, PA.

Yeungling Brewery – Is just up PA route 61 in Pottsville, PA. They have tours
and a rathskeller to sample their fine beverages. Unfortunately they don’t
sell any of their product there but you can get some here…

Windsor Distributing Company – 800 South 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526(610)
562-2474 – Just remember that in PA wine and liquors can only be purchased in
a “state store†and beer can only be purchases by the case at a distributor
or by the 6-pack in a bar. This is the perfect place to stock up on your
favorite Yeungling products, including Lord Chesterfield AleJ.

Reading Beer – There is also another brewery in Reading. Their Saturday tours
are by appointment only.

Grimes Airport, Bethel, PA. – Is just a little west of Shartlesvilleon I-78.
It is a grass strip that is home to the Golden AgeAir Museum. They have quite a
few old airplanes and have bi-plane rides on the weekends, weather permitting.

Mid-Atlantic Air Museum – Is housed in at the Reading Airport on PA Route 183
and is about a 30 minute drive from the campground. They have a number of WWII
aircraft on static display, most of which still fly.

The West Hamburg Hotel – 279 West State Street, Hamburg, Pa(610) 562-3777- Or
“The Westy†to us locals, is a nice tavern with a full menu and is a popular
watering hole. Their Buffalo wingsand baked mozzarella (baked motz) are great.

Hamburg Diner – Right down the street from The Westy – 210 State Street,
Hamburg, PA(610) 562-0422- If you like “greasy spoon†diners, this is the
place for you. They have great breakfasts

The Port Clinton Hotel – This is another tavern offering a full menu and is a
local favorite.

Haag’s Hotel – Is in Shartlesville and has been serving Pennsylvania Dutch
family style dinnerssince 1915.

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary – The world’s largest sanctuary for birds of prey.
There are 8 miles of hiking trailsand is a beautiful vista from which to see the
surrounding countryside.

Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine – In Ashland, PA, is in the heart of the
Pennsylvania Anthracite Coal Regions. It is about an hour from the campground
and you can tour the coal mineto see how coal was mined in days gone by. You can
also take a ride on a narrow gauge steam locomotive.

Lets hope that luck impales those who find themselves behind bars before the
powers that be let them out on the street because there is "No romm at the Inn"!

"Who'll give me a hand up?" he roared.

Not a man among us moved. Growling the foulest imprecations, he crawled along
the sand till he got hold of the porch and could hoist himself up again upon his
crutch. Then he spat into the spring.

"There!" he cried, "that's what I think of ye. Before an hour's out, I'll stove
in your blockhouse like a rum puncheon. Laugh, by thunder, laugh! Before an
hour's out, ye'll laugh upon the other side. Them that dies will be the lucky

Unfortunately Jim,

Our society has decided that all is fair before the age of reason, 18 has become
the age at which one must "tow the line". And even then no one is seriously
"punished". Our society today has resorted to "paid" time outs as our jails are
overfilled beyond their capacity with the best welfare on the planet served to
those who least deserve it.

"Permanent Record" does not mean the same as when we were kids.

Ah, Wayne, me foine young bucko, the Permanent Record does not just exist as a
point of humor and derision in a puerile film. Here is a quote in today's
(09/22) Star Ledger regarding high school senior girls hazing freshmen.
"Administrators should set up a multi-varied task force, seriously punish known
perpetrators and make note of a student's involvement in hazing on a students'
permanent record so that it is viewable by colleges."

Hee hee! This is good! You know you've joined the right Unit when your act or
behavior causes you to be "reported." After all, when was the last time you were
"reported?" Grade School? ("Nicky, I'm going to put you on report!"). Of course,
this and other infractions will also go on Your Permanent Record, a mythic file
and something I always asked to see but was always/permanently refused. I also
suspected that even my requests to see it were included in the Permanent Record.
"As your attorney,"* I would advise you not to quit with even the
best-intentioned ideas or shenanigans, especially the latter.

Generally, there's a new Wootcast every day, but this one will probably be

Nick, I'm not wanting to discourage you in any way just wondering where #10
comes from. It's rally # 11 going into year #11 as we started in 1999. I
remember as I was at that first installation.
I guess we can't do open house anymore as that would be obscene .

Doug,

yeh I guess that you are correct. It is the 10th Anniversary and the 11th actual
rally. My bad. It is a mute point since someone reported me and the item was
removed for copy right infringement issues and alledged obscene nature. Hey
whatever, I should not have been wasting my time with it anyway. I have learned
a valuable lesson and it will not happen again.

OK I have entirely too much time on my hands. I created a T-shirt for Jill and I
for Installation. This website is pretty cool you can create anything you want.
I add a link to the shirt that we are getting and is available to anyone to
order. You can change the style, color and size of the T-shirt. WARNING: I have
no idea how they are going to turn out. But it looked cool. Also make sure you
read the back before buying, Jill and I have a strange sense of humor.

I don't see why not, if you want.  If that is what you want to do, I suggest
you call the campground as soon as you decide.  Its up to you, bud.  The
installation isn't until Saturday night, though.  But we would all love to see
you anytime.  No Zoe and kids, though, huh?

Let me know what you want to do.
